Meta-Research Symposium
Meta-Research in Action: Implementing Better Science
The NYU Meta-Research Collaborative, in partnership with the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) and the Constance and Martin Silver Center on Data Science and Social Equity, NYU Silver School of Social Work, is thrilled to announce that the second annual Meta-Research Symposium on “Meta-Research in Action: Implementing Better Science,” will be held Tuesday, October 27th, 2026. The symposium seeks to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and promote awareness of the meta-research being performed across our institutions. Attendees from across institutional roles and across disciplines are welcome.
The keynote speaker will be Dashun Wang, the Kellogg Chair of Technology and a Professor at the Kellogg School of Management and the McCormick School of Engineering, at Northwestern University. He is author of the book, “The Science of Science” and Founding Director of the Center for Science of Science and Innovation (CSSI). His current research focus is the Science of Science, a quest to turn the scientific methods upon science itself. He uses and develops tools from complexity sciences and artificial intelligence to broadly explore the opportunities for innovation and promises of prosperity offered by the recent data explosion in science.
