For more than forty years NYU, in partnership with Bellevue Hospital Center and the Health and Hostpitals Corporation, built and maintained one of the most effective clinical research centers in the nation, supported by continuous funding from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS/NIH). This history of excellence and dedication to the well-being of the citizens of our city and our nation is continued with the creation of the NYU-HHC Clinical and Translational Science Institute. The leadership of the CTSI is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of scholarship, of clinical investigation and of service to the patients of our hospitals and to the members of our community.
The figure above shows the organizational structure of the CTSI, which is designed to allow the CTSI to provide clear and effective leadership in the conduct of translational research and in the training of healthcare professionals who will assume leading roles in the future.
